Sheri Glowinski, Ph.D.
Sheri L. Glowinski received her PhD in Biological Sciences from the University of Southern Mississippi where she was mentored by Frank R. Moore, PhD and studied avian ecology, conservation, and sustainable development. She has had a diverse career largely focused on environmental sustainability and social justice issues and has worked in the for-profit, not-for-profit, and academic sectors. Sheri is an enthusiastic member of Wild Ones – a native plant organization; has restored her home property to native Illinois landscaping; and is also on the Board of Directors for Central Illinois FarmFED Co-operative working to increase accessibility to local foods for local peoples. She is excited to support the work of the Student Sustainability Committee and the University of Illinois in fulfilling their mission of achieving sustainability on campus and beyond.
