About
Dr. Stumpf is currently the co-founder of the Illinois Geothermal Coalition. He received his M.Sc. and Ph.D in Geology from the University of New Brunswick and his Honors B.Sc. in Geography and Geology at the University of Western Ontario. Currently here at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, Dr. Stumpf serves as Principal Research Scientist in the Prairie Research Institute and is currently doing research on underground thermal energy systems and critical zone science. In his spare time, he enjoys biking, running, and is a master gardener.
