Orientations & Workshops
Student Org Development & Administration offers a series of workshops throughout the year with a range of topics for the development of your student org. President and Treasurer Orientations are now available via a Canvas class linked below. Presidents and Treasurers must complete the appropriate module and pass the included Quiz with 100% in order for attendance to be counted for compliance. At the beginning of each business day, Student Engagement Staff will update Student Org profiles to reflect the past 24+ hours of completed orientations.
For New or Re-Activating Student Orgs, attendance will only be granted to those who are on time. Due to capacity limits, session attendance may be restricted. We encourage individuals to arrive 5 minutes early to secure a spot. We begin all sessions promptly at the listed starting time to respect everyone’s time. In addition, you must remain in the session for the duration of the orientation. A unique link will be provided at the end of the session where attendees can log their attendance.

President & Treasurer Orientations
These orientations are designed to set Presidents and Treasurers of Student Organizations up for success by providing them essential information related to their positions. This includes University and Department policies and procedures that all student orgs must follow in order to be successful on our campus. Please join the Student Engagement Training – Orientations Canvas class (linked below) and complete the appropriate module for your position. Presidents must complete the President module and pass the quiz with 100% in order for their compliance to be met. Similarly, Treasurers must complete the Treasurer module and pass their quiz with 100% in order for their compliance to be met.
Event Registration Orientation
In order to be in compliance for the Event Registration process, the Student Org officer submitting the registration must complete the Event Registration Orientation on the Student Engagement Canvas course. This orientation will discuss the process and the policies related to hosting an event on campus and will allow for the submitting officer to have a comprehensive understanding of the Event Registration process.
New & Re-Activating Student Org Orientations
The New & Re-Activating Orientation provides the new president with administrative tools and resources necessary to start or re-activate a student organization. All new/re-activating presidents are required to attend this training for the student organization to be in compliance. Below is a listing of upcoming New & Re-Activating Orientations:
