Registration Requirements
Student leaders must complete the annual registration process via OneIllinois.
To register a student org, the organization must meet the following requirements:
Membership
Student orgs must have a minimum of five (5) currently enrolled students serving as members assigned to the following roles:
Officer | Role |

President | Primary Executive Officer |
Vice President | Primary Operations Officers |
Secretary | Primary Communications Officer |
Treasurer | Primary Finance Officer |
Membership Director | Primary Membership Officer |
Each student may only hold one required position, and no required position may be held by more than one member.
Purpose
Student orgs represent unique perspectives, interests, and scopes. The mission/purpose of a student organization may not be a duplicate of an existing student organization registered at Illinois. Adherence to Student Code & Policies
All student org members must adhere to the Illinois Student Code. The University also requires student orgs recognize, adhere to, and commit to upholding the following:
- The University of Illinois Statement of Nondiscrimination
- Clery Reporting (federal requirement)
- Foreign Influence Reporting (federal requirement)
- Travel Notification
Fiscal Responsibility
As stewards of financial resources, student organizations are expected to maintain high ethical standards in managing their finances. This includes always maintaining at least a $0.00 balance in their Student Org General Fund and Gift Funds.
Failure to meet any of the above requirements may result in consequences for the student organization.
