Student Organizations

For more than 150 years, student organizations have been an integral part of the university. Belonging to a student organization is a great way to engage socially, refine your leadership skills, and learn how to manage a micro-operation. It also provides a rich student experience.

A critical part of the student organization experience is managing the operations. Student organizations must be managed by their student leaders (no staff or faculty) as they are considered independent entities of the university. Therefore, it is the responsibility of students to be diligent in leading their student organizations. This includes but is not limited to following all university processes and procedures to enjoy benefits and resources, taking responsibility for the organization's actions, and engaging in prudent accountability for the longevity of the student organization.
