SORF Treasurer Training

SORF requires Treasurers wishing to apply to complete the SORF Checklist within the Funding Year Cycle. This training aims to prepare Treasurers to understand the SORF process better and the requirements necessary to successfully receive and keep SORF funding. See the three methods below for how to complete the SORF Treasurer Training.

SORF Treasurer Training credit is reset after the Spring 2 Funding Cycle deadline in alignment with the publishing of revised Funding Standards.

OneIllinois

Description

  • Treasurers will have access via their SORF Checklist after completing their Treasurer Checklist

Benefits

  • It can be completed on your own time.

Group Presentation

Description

  • SORF Board Members offer the orientation in person. Attendance will be taken at the start and end of the session. Treasurers must be present for the entire session to receive credit. Once completed, Student Org Development & Admin (SODA) will issue credit on the SORF Treasurer Checklist; therefore, the remaining items to complete will be the Quiz and Terms & Conditions.

Benefits

  • Provides an opportunity for the Treasurer to ask clarifying questions as they are learning content.  
  • Promotes networking of Treasurers amongst each other and the SORF Board.
  • The session takes the place of the Orientation video.

One-on-One Board Member Orientation

Description

  • Meet one-on-one with a SORF Board Member to learn about the SORF application process and standards.

Benefits

  • Provides an opportunity for the Treasurer to ask clarifying questions as they are learning content. 
  • Discuss organization-specific questions and needs.
  • The session takes the place of the Orientation video.

Group Presentation Schedule

  • Tuesday, October 15: 6:00 pm in the Center for Student Engagement (formerly known as the Student Org Complex or SOC, Illini Union 280)
  • Thursday, October 17: 6:00 PM in the Center for Student Engagement (formerly known as the Student Org Complex or SOC, Illini Union 280)
