SORF Board Members

The SORF Board is comprised of students who develop standards, review applications, and make preliminary decisions on allocations. Each board member hosts at least three (3) office hours for student org Treasurers to drop in for assistance with process or applications.

Board Member Office Hours

Each SORF Undergraduate and Graduate Board Member hosts three (3) office hours weekly to assist student organization Treasurers in navigating processes and learning the Funding Standards. Please visit us in the Center for Student Engagement, Illini Union 280.

Get Involved - SORF Board Elections

The SORF Board consists of fourteen (14) students elected annually. Eleven members are undergraduate students, and at least three are graduate/professional students. The Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs or their designee also appoints three (3) staff/faculty members to provide perspective and guidance.

The Board Chairperson, Vice Chairperson, and Treasurer are elected from within the newly elected student board, and the Administrative Secretary and Finance Secretary are hired by the Advisor in consultation with the Chairperson.

Student board members are elected by the student body and serve a one (1) year term. The Campus Student Election Commission (CSEC) administers elections during the annual Illinois Student Elections. Please visit studentelections.illinois.edu for more information on elections.
