Digital Signage

Student Organizations can request graphics for events, recruitment, or promotion on digital displays across campus. Below is a table with each possible location, required graphic dimensions, and associated costs.

Submission Requests

Submissions for digital signage must be designed to the format specifications below. Should there be an associated cost with a digital sign, the submission form will require the submission of a Payment Request

Formats

  • File Format: JPEG
  • Color: RGB Color Mode
  • Size: 1920 pixels wide x 1080 pixels high (26.6 inches x 15 inches)
  • Resolution: 72 dpi
  • Text, Colors & Images: Less is best! Considering that many signs on campus will display the graphic for at most 9 seconds per rotation, abundant and small text is unsuitable. Color and use of images are encouraged to capture the viewer's attention. A "call to action" is also recommended so the viewer can determine, within seconds, what is being promoted or what action is being asked.

Submissions

To submit a Digital Signage request, an officer (President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Membership Director, or Event Coordinator) must complete the Digital Signage Form via OneIllinois. The form can be accessed by logging into OneIllinois and clicking the Submit Digitial Signage graphic button on the Home page or by clicking here.

Timeline & Frequency

Unless otherwise indicated, all requests must be submitted at least five (5) days before the requested posting. Recruitment advertisements can be posted on Student Engagement screens twice a semester, each for a duration of two weeks (14 days) or less.
